Game Mechanics

Understanding the draw machine is key to understanding your odds.

The 6 Drums

Unlike standard lotteries that pull numbers from a single pool (e.g., 6 out of 49), Loonie 6-Digit Draw uses 6 separate drums. Each drum contains balls numbered 0 to 9.

This means numbers can repeat! A winning combination could theoretically be 9-9-9-9-9-9 (though statistically unlikely).

Order Matters

To win the Grand Prize (Division 1), your ticket must match the drawn numbers in the exact order from left to right.

Prize Structure

Division Requirement Odds
Division 1 Match All 6 (Exact) 1 : 1,000,000
Division 2 First 5 OR Last 5 1 : 55,555
Division 3 First 4 OR Last 4 1 : 5,555
Division 4 First 3 OR Last 3 1 : 555
Division 5 First 2 OR Last 2 1 : 55

* If there are multiple Division 1 winners, the jackpot is shared equally. Lower divisions have fixed prize amounts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if nobody wins the Jackpot?

This is called a Rollover. If no ticket matches the Division 1 winning numbers, the jackpot amount is added to the prize pool for the next draw, making the next jackpot even larger.

Can I cancel a ticket after purchase?

Yes, but only within the "Cancellation Window" which is typically 15 minutes after purchase, provided the draw has not yet closed (Draw Break). Contact support immediately if you made a mistake.

Are my winnings taxable?

Generally, lottery winnings are not taxable in Canada for residents. However, any income generated from investing your winnings (interest) is taxable. We recommend consulting a financial advisor.

What is the "Draw Break"?

The Draw Break is the period when ticket sales close so the draw can take place. Ticket sales for Saturday draws close at 7:30 PM sharp. Sales reopen for the next draw shortly after.

I think I have a gambling problem.

We take responsible play seriously. You can set deposit limits, take a "Cool-off" break (24 hours to 30 days), or Self-Exclude permanently via your account settings. Visit our Responsible Play section for helpline numbers.
